It's been way too long...
Ok, so once we got into the cababin I found it really difficult to get a post onto this here blog. Internet access doesn't exist in the ZigZag forest, and we've been there every weekend. It's really just my poor excuse, but spring is here, we've got 28 days until the mountain offically closes (although we'll be hiking well into August with the amount of snow that's on the hill), and it's time to start thinking about next season.
We made a lot of progress on the joint this year -- new floors, new kitchen, installed a pool/air hockey table, put in a heating coil around the bathroom plumbing below the house so the ice can't take over, and put in a couch that quite honestly may be the best couch I've ever sat on.
On the list for this summer to get us prep'd for next season: new decks front and back, new siding, a shed that will serve triple duty: wood storage, gardening tool storage, and board tuning area. And we're looking forward to a full scale assault on mountain biking trails in the area -- most of which we haven't even found yet.
Oh, and we're saving our money. Coulter, RG, LG, and a bunch of other friends just got back from Baldface. Angela and I are jealous. We're going next year -- that's all there is to it. I've aleady blocked out the calendar. It can't get here soon enough. The place looks epic.
